Your path together is designed to help you have the right beginning so that you can flourish and thrive in your life. Majica works primarily with people who desire to work in the long term, intensive, deep areas – getting to the core of your problems and balancing that with your strengths, with or without the use of art. Most patients come wanting more than just temporary symptomatic changes and are longing for deeper connections in their relationships with others and themselves.
About
An expressive art therapist who works with people of all kinds; in all relationships.
I grew up on the Mendocino coast with artistic parents—my mother was a professional painter and musician, and my father was a talented jazz pianist. My household was constantly full of interactive creativity and interesting talent. I used art, photography, theater arts, and choir to flourish through my childhood and adolescence. I graduated from California State University, Sacramento, with a Bachelors degree in Child Development. I was on my way to become a teacher when I discovered art therapy. Art therapy intrigued me because it took what I was currently studying, children and families, and combined it with my passion for artistic expression. I set out to study and found a prestigious school in Belmont, California, called Notre Dame de Namur University. NDNU is one of two schools in California that offers an accredited degree in Marriage Family Therapy and Art Psychotherapy. Learning about art therapy felt like finding my home.
I am realizing that I am a lifetime learner, which has led to other certifications along the way. I began studying Emotional Focused Therapy and really found my stride. I love working with couples and individuals in that deeper emotional space. I started dancing 5Rhythms in 2008 as a therapeutic resource, and in 2016 I decided to become a teacher. This deep journey led me to be curious about psychedelics and how they can offer something quite new for trauma and somatic release. This led me to study at California Institute for Integral Studies in Psychedelic Integration Therapy.

In addition to being a therapist in my private practice, I mentor MFT Associates, I am a mom to three daughters, I volunteer in my children's Waldorf classes, I am a 5Rhythms® Teacher, & offer workshops that use dancing, art making, and singing. I try to dance & make art everyday as part of my dedication to my own soul and healing journey.
